Our Programs

We offer programs for children ranging from 12 months to the end of grade 6. If you have any questions about these programs, please feel free to contact us.

What we offer to all Families

We provide lunch every day.  No more packing lunch!  If your child needs a special menu please talk to us to see if it is something we can accommodate.

Our playground is on the roof and is divided into 3 playing areas.  One section for the youngest children, one section for toddlers/preschoolers, and one section for kindergarten/OSC.  This will help us provide the proper areas for each stage of development.  School-age children will often stay after school and play at the school playground and/or field at the Westglen school.  If your child is from a different school they will have the opportunity to join the other children in the playground for outside time. Younger children will also have the opportunity to go to the park when the weather permits.

We make communication with our families easy through email and texting.

Infants

8 Children (8 months to 18 Months)

Our youngest children are exploring with their five senses. We give them these opportunities through heuristic play sessions.  The children are allowed to experience different textures and explore different objects.  It is through this exploration that they learn to make sense of the world around them.  They have an outdoor play area that is exclusively used by them and is designed specifically for their age.  The children are provided the chance to be creative in art and they are exposed to different types of music throughout the day.

Toddlers

15 Children (19 Months to 36 Months)

At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come.  Our toddlers will continue heuristic play and their play becomes more complex with each session.  They have access to a larger outdoor play area that allows them to really develop their burgeoning gross motor skills. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, outdoor play, and learning simplicities envelop much of the day. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship.

Preschoolers

16 Children (3 Years to entry into Kindergarten)

Children this age are Busy!  They are learning vital social skills as they are playing with others instead of beside them.  We teach them to solve their conflicts and how to be good friends.  Their little bodies will have lots of room in the playground to burn off their energy.  They are in the early stages of literacy skills and our high-quality program will provide the foundation they need to thrive in school.  We encourage inquiry-based learning, where the room is set up for them to explore on their own and to develop a love for learning. Our program planning is based on helping them dig deeper into the things that interest them.

School-Age

25 Children (Kindergarten to Grade 6)

At this time we do not offer transportation to and from school except for Westglen School. However, we can take bussed children from the following schools:

  • Oliver School (French Immersion)
  • Coronation School (IB Program)
  • Dovercourt School (Chinese Immersion)
  • Edmonton Christian School
  • We walk Westglen students to and from school

As children get older and more independent, they need new challenges. That’s why we offer a school-age program for before and after school care and enrichment programs that address the changing and more varied needs of growing school-age children. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) activities will be readily available to ensure that your child's mind is engaged and can have opportunities to independently explore these concepts to create a lifelong love of learning.
